NARS Holiday Collection has Arrived!!!

YAY it’s here…it’s here! I was so excited to see this package today. I just wanted to share some pictures today and a full review will be coming soon.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The lip glosses are beautiful and the color pay off amazing! I’m a little scared that the blush is going to come across ashy looking, but I’m fair so hopefully it doesn’t. The Okinawa Tro is awesome I wore it today and there are so many combinations to use. Both the Duo (Melusine) and Single (Etrusque) Eyeshadows have great color payoff. I only got one of the two nail polishes in the collection “Poker Face” which is a gorgeous pinky/purple I have no doubt I will wear this all year long. I passed on “Bad Influence” and both Lipsticks because they just didn’t stand out to me like everything else. I hope you enjoy :)

Okay SO I bought the “City Slickers” Collection the other day at Sephora to try out the lipstick/lip glosses and I’m in love SERIOUSLY. if you have never tried any of the lip products YOU NEED TO! They not only leave your lips feeling soft they also leave them feeling refreshed. (it’s kind of hard to explain) I also found my new pink lip using Vienna Lipstick and Denise Lipgloss. I was talking so much about this product my amazing boyfriend went to Sephora and bought me “Samantha’s Smokey Eye” so I can try even more. I’m telling you I’m hooked the black liner comes with a (for lack of a better word) smugger one of my now fav mascaras. The only down side to this set is that the lipgloss is not my favorite color, it just doesn’t go with my skin tone. Oh and everything is full size in the is set SUPER PLUS. Well now that I went on and on I’m just going say try this brand if you never have before. I hope you enjoy :)

Revlon VS MAC

This picture reminded me of what I looked like last week. I am hearing a lot of buzz about Revlon’s new Super Lustrous Lipgloss so I went down to my local Walgreens and picked up some.

I only got these four to try out. The colors where beautiful and when I tried them on they are super opaque and not to sticky. I love lip glosses that you can wear by themselves or layer over a lipstick. Peach Petal is a basic color for me to use over any lipstick you want to tone down or put on to create a semi-nude lip. Coral Reef is a great peachy/coral color, and is just the perfect color for summer. Pink Pop is my favorite I love a pink lip so much it is ridiculous. This is a hot pink and it is so great for summer, and it is a definite must have. Now Lilac Pastille is probably the most talked about, because there has never been a purple color of any kind out in the Revlon’s lip collections. This color is beautiful it is a little hard to wear so you do have to be careful with what you pair it with. I personally like to wear it with MAC’s “snob” lipstick. 

When I got home I was looking through my Makeup and I realized that I had some MAC Cremesheen Glasses that looked almost Identical to the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss. I did the comparison and there not exact dupes but they’re pretty close.

All of us MAC Lovers know that MAC comes out with several collections every year and if you are not persistent on some of the collections you may miss out. I know that both On the Scene, and Going Casual where limited edition in MAC’s “In the Groove” Collection. So if you missed out Revlon might be a way to go to still get the look you where going for. 

I can’t say that one brand is better then the other because I like them both. With Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss only $6.99 and MAC Cremesheen Glass at $18.00 the price is the only big difference. They both are easy to apply, have the same thickness, stickiness, and both are opaque. If you pick up either product I hope you enjoy :)
